Now the Prince who is Patron of the Campaign for Wool, has conceived this scarf in celebration of the initiative’s 10th anniversary. Designed in collaboration with Mother of Pearl’s Amy Powney and made by Johnstons of Elgin, its unique blend of wools will ensure you stay chic and snug for seasons to come.

    It has been produced to highlight the sustainability, quality and the durability of wool. The scarf supports the next generation in the textile industry through The Prince's Foundation Textile initiative and apprenticeship at Johnstons of Elgin.

    The limited edition scarf is available in three distinct Autumnal colourways - The Murray, The Elgin and The Derwent. The unisex scarf has been crafted using a unique wool fibre blend created for the celebratory scarf with fine wools for a soft cosy feel.     Since 1797 Johnstons of Elgin have been working on the very site where they wove the 10th Anniversary limited edition scarf. There are approx. 30 different processes involved in transforming raw fibre into luxurious Johnstons of Elgin finished products. They work with the finest woollens in the world to make some of the most beautiful woven pieces in the world. Every single step is reliant on the craftsmanship and the capabilities of their people, which is embedded throughout their company. Continued education, skill training and looking after the skills for the next generation is important and they have many people in this company who have worked there for more than 20 years. Johnstons of Elgin are the largest apprenticeship provider in the UK textile industry and have received the Investors in Young People Gold Award for continually investing in the next generation.
